The film now has the chance to hit the Rs. 50 crores mark, depending on whether it happens on Sunday or Tuesday considering Independence Day holiday and a long wekend.
This is by far the best number for Sunny deol in long time a Top-3 Bollywood star in the 1980s and 1990s, Sunny Deol has recently demonstrated his star power. It’s great to see him carry on this accomplishment in the 1970s after his recent single Yamla Pagla Deewana proves his star power.

On the other hand, OMG 2 had a mild response despite featuring Akshay Kumar and being a sequel to an already hit movie that gained popularity from both the audience and critics.
As we already discussed, the collection of OMG 2 is estimated to be near 10 crores, which is 1/4 of what Gadar 2 had.

Gadar 2 is winning over screens too as the number of screen it secured are around 3500–3750. The film also managed to make an advance booking of Rs 25–30 crore.
On the other hand, OMG2 managed to get around 1800–2000 screens while competing with a movie like Gadar 2 and making an advance booking of around 8–10 crores.
